Mahomes remains the King of Madden

While the highest-rated quarterback in Madden 25 will come as no surprise, the rest of the list has some very debatable ratings and raises a lot of questions. Just like in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes continues to reign supreme with a perfect rating of 99. Mahomes' ability to make all kinds of throws, from deep bombs to tight window passes on the run is unmatched in the NFL and on Madden, solidifying his place as the top quarterback in Madden NFL 25. Interestingly, Mahomes was voted the 2nd best quarterback in the NFL top 100 and the 4th best player overall. The NFL top 100 list had Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson as the 2nd best player in the NFL and the best quarterback, in a list that stunned fans. Madden has Lamar Jackson as a 98 overall and 2nd best quarterback respectively. Burrow came in as the 3rd best quarterback in Madden 25 with a 93 overall rating despite barely making the top 40 in the NFL top 100 list.

Tyreek Hill is named best player in the NFL and best WR in Madden

What a day for Dolphins superstar receiver Tyreek Hill. The speedster was not only ranked the best receiver in Madden at a 99 overall but also ranked the best player in all of the NFL on the NFL Top 100 list. While Tyreek Hill being over players such as Patrick Mahomes is sure to cause some attention, his talent is undeniable. Only a few players in Madden can achieve the elusive 99 speed rating, In fact, even Xavier Worthy who set the 40-yard dash record at this year's NFL combine, was only given 98 speed by Madden. The only 99 speed receivers in Madden are Tyreek Hill, and Lions receiver Jameson Williams. Whether you agree that Tyreek Hill is the best player in all of football or not, he will for sure be one of if not the best in all of Madden with his 99 speed rating and 99 overall rating. Justin Jefferson (98 overall,) and Ceedee Lamb (96 overall,) round out the top 3.

The 99 Overall Club Revealed

The 99 overall Club for Madden 25 features 5 players. These players, in no order, are Super Bowl MVP and superstar Patrick Mahomes and his tight end and fellow superstar Travis Kelce, former Kansas City Chief and current Miami Dolphin, speedster wide receiver Tyreek Hill, offensive tackle Trent Williams, and the Madden 25 cover athlete Christian Mccaffery. Something unique about this 99 overall club, is that all 5 players of the 99 club are all on the offensive side of the ball. A big reason for this is due to the recent retirement of Aaron Donald, who was a staple in the 99 overall club for years.
