With many NBA2K players complaining about the park becoming stale, NBA2K25 changed the game with the addition of the “Proving Ground.” The Proving Ground round puts you in games based on your ranking. There are 5 tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. You can play in virtually any variation of NBA2K in the proving grounds with your MyPlayer such as 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5. To be successful in the Proving Ground and make it to the Diamond Tier, you need a combination of skills and also a great player build to pair with your skill!

The Best PG Build in NBA2K25

This point guard build can truly do it all. This build is the most overpowered guard build in NBA2K25 for every game mode. To make this build, you need to make a 197-pound, 6’2” Point Guard with a 6’3” wingspan. While you are only 6/2”, this build comes with elite defensive stats such as 97 Perimeter and 96 Steal, we also recommend using your cap breaker points to get your perimeter up to 99! When maxed out, you will have badges such as Hall of fame glove, challenger, on-ball menace, and pick dodger. Offensively, this build comes with 96 Mid-Range, which we recommend cap breaking up to 99, and an 83 3-pointer. We recommend only having an 83 3-pointer as that is more than enough to be consistent from behind the arc and we recommend using the Cam Thomas base on your jump shot as well! While stats are important in NBA2K25, badges are just as important as attributes. For point guards, you need to make sure your handles for days is equipped at a high level to be able to combo dribble moves together and maintain your stamina while doing so. For shooting, limitless range will extend your range and set shot specialist is lethal as a spot-up, deadeye will also do a great job of mitigating contests. Defensively, you need to pick dodgers if you’re guarding the pick and roll to avoid getting stuck into picks, Challenger is a must to get the best contest possible, and Glove will allow you to pester the opposing guard with plucks.
