NCAA College Football 25 will be released on July 19th per reports

Social Media was abuzz over the weekend when NFL reporter Dov Kleiman reported that NCAA Football 25 will be released on July 19th. July 19th is a Friday and while it is unusual for a game to be released on a Friday, you can most likely expect some type of deluxe version of the game similar to what Madden, NBA2K, and MLB The Show all do that gives players early access to the game, which speculation is would be on Tuesday, July 16th. However the only thing that we know, is that we finally have a date for NCAA Football 25, Friday, July 19th, the most anticipated football video game in over a decade will be playable!

College Football Players will get $600 through NIL to be in the game

The question surrounding the release of NCAA Football 25 has been the same, how many college football athletes will be in the game? In the  NIL climate, there was no guarantee how this was going to get done. The plan EA went with was to give every player who signs on to the game $600, no matter what position they play or school they attend, alongside a copy of the game, to be an athlete in the game. In return, these players will give EA Sports their name, image, and likeness to use in the NCAA Football 25 video game. This strategy has been a smashing success for EA Sports, who announced recently that over 10,000 athletes signed this deal to be in the game, a big win for EA. However, not every athlete signed this deal, among those Tennessee quarterback Arch Manning, who reportedly declined to sign the contract. Despite this loss, over 10,000 players signing on to be in NCAA Football 25 is a massive win for the game, especially considering it was widely speculated previously that NCAA Football 25 may have only the college teams logo and not the individual players in the game at all.

Notre Dame has confirmed they will be in NCAA Football 25

The legendary Fighting Irish being in the NCAA Football 25 is a huge change considering when the game was first announced a few years ago, Notre Dame said they would not be participating in the game at all, so why the change? For starters, the initial announcement of NCAA Football 25 came with much controversy, as it wasn’t clear at the time what the NIL rules would be, and the debate about NIL in sports was at the peak of its discussion. With clarity on the NIL front and NCAA Football 25 getting a much more positive reception now, Notre Dame has signed on, and you’ll be able to win money on Players’ Lounge with the Fighting Irish soon!
