Feedback directly from Beta
Call of Duty just had the most played beta of any game in its franchise, for the highly anticipated Call of Duty Black Ops 6. The recent beta to the highly anticipated game, which comes out on October 25th, set the record as reported by Activision for the most players on a Call of Duty beta in the history of the historic franchise. Not only was it the most people on a Call of Duty beta, it was also the most hours played per player, and the most matches ever played on a Call of Duty beta as well. Activison has collected thousands of feedback entries from users who played the beta, and these will have noticeable changes to the gameplay meta of the upcoming Call of Duty game.
Different Maps Sizes
The map size was a much talked about issue on the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 beta. The maps on the beta of Call of Duty were a subject of much debate due to many users claiming it was too small. For a 6 on 6 multiplayer game mode, the sizing felt too small for many users, claiming a map of that size would reduce skill gap. It was quickly released by Call of Duty shortly after the beta that the maps were on the smaller side during the beta and they would be bigger when the game comes out. This is an example of how much the Call of Duty gameplay team takes player feedback into consideration and will continue to do so and have already done other things as well!
Increased Headshot Damage
Another much-talked-about topic after the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 beta was the headshot or lack of headshot damage on the beta. Players claimed that the decreased headshot damage would also lead to a smaller skill gap and that players should be more rewarded for landing a headshot. The Call of Duty dev team agreed and announced that headshot damage on many weapons would be boosted. This is another example of how responsive the Call of Duty gameplay team has been to beta feedback. This is one of the many reasons why Call of Duty Black Ops 6 projects to be one of the most anticipated Call of Duty releases of the historic franchise.
