Marvel Rivals cancels mid-season rank reset after Community Outrage

Massive backlash over potential rank reset

It was a combination of the outrage being strong of course, after all Marvel Rivals, was trending on X that day for all the wrong reasons. With that being said, Marvel Rivals predicates itself on its amazing community outreach and this was an opportunity to turn a negative into a positive and show just how responsive they are to constructive feedback, which they did almost immediately. 

Still a rank reset at the end of each season

Something important to note, is that Marvel Rivals is still having a rank reset at the end of each season. This was another reason for the community backlash, as many users could understand a rank reset at the end of each season, as this is a way to keep the game fresh and give users something to grind for. A mid season update on top of this just seemed like overkill, and would make it nearly impossible for Marvel Rivals gamers who enjoy playing the ranked gamemode to keep up with others who have more free time to grind the game. Fortunately, Marvel Rivals made the right decision here, and they were able to put this situation to bed with swiftness.
