Madden 25 Cover Athlete Revealed

With Josh Allen the cover athlete for the last edition of Madden, Madden 24, no one really knew who was going to be on the cover of Madden 25. Of course, this didn’t stop people from speculating and after a long wait, 49ers superstar running back Christian Mccaffrey was named the cover athlete. McCaffery is the first running back in over a decade since Peyton Hillis to grace the cover of Madden. This caps off an incredible offseason for McCaffery, who just signed a much-deserved two-year extension for 38 million dollars with the 49ers as well.

The 99 Overall Club Revealed

The 99 overall Club for Madden 25 features 5 players. The first two, come from none other than the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Super Bowl MVP and superstar Patrick Mahomes and his tight end and fellow superstar Travis Kelce both come in at 99 overall. Former Kansas City Chief and current Miami Dolphin, speedster wide receiver Tyreek Hill is the third member of the 99 overall list, and will almost certainly be the fastest player in Madden as well! The last two members of the 99 overall club for Madden 25, are the cover athlete Christian Mccaffery, and Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson. Something unique about this 99 overall club, is that all 5 players of the 99 club are all on the offensive side of the ball. A big reason for this is due to the recent retirement of Aaron Donald, who was a staple in the 99 overall club for years.

6v6 Mode Added to Madden Ultimate Team

In a highly unexpected announcement, EA Sports has announced a 6v6 mode to be released into Madden Ultimate Team. The game mode, which will be played as a 6v6 play now mode in Ultimate Team, differs from the other game modes as the only Play Now (1v1) game mode that’s 6v6 as opposed to 11v11. Among other additions as well, is a new ranking system that will reward winning players with increased rewards and an updated matchmaking system! This was put in place to ensure a more competitive matchmaking system when playing Madden Ultimate Team Head to Head seasons.
