Comcast, had to put out a press release stating the first week Call of Duty Black Ops 6 came out resulted in an astounding 19 percent increase in internet usage that was directly attributed to the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 release, stating that this was the biggest week in internet history. The CEO of Comcast, Elad Nafshi stated, “As sports consumption shifts to live streaming and gaming continues its rapid ascent, these big moments in online entertainment are shifting Internet traffic and patterns at an unprecedented rate.” Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be used as a benchmark going forward for future Call of Duty’s and other video games as a landmark to try to surpass for future releases.
