The Best Playbooks in Madden 25

The Bills Playbook

The new look of the Bills offense under former interim offensive coordinator and now full-time offensive coordinator Joe Brady is arguably the best playbook for running the Trips TE formation in Madden 25. Trips TE, which is almost always one of the best formations in Madden, is back and better than ever in Madden 25. Trips are always good in Madden due to its unique combination of routes, spacing, and good runs. What makes the Bills Trips TE formation so good is the addition of the y post play, which has a near unguardable tight end post route that is a nightmare for the opposing defense. The Bills playbook also features good red zone offenses such as single back deuce close.

The Colts Playbook

As is the case in virtually every Madden, the Gun Bunch formation has reigned supreme thus far in the early stages of Madden 25. Unlike College Football 25, which made a massive change by only having the Gun Bunch formation in a few playbooks, there are many playbooks in Madden 25 with the Gun bunch formation. However, the Colts' playbook has the clear advantage as the best bunch playbook in Madden. With the Bunch strong Nasty formation combined with Bunch Offset and Bunch wide, the Colts playbook has shown to be a high-powered passing offense in Madden 25.

The Patriots Playbook

While we covered the best bunch and trips TE playbooks in Madden 25, the Patriots playbook is a do-it-all playbook and boasts one of the best formations in Madden. The U Trips formation presents a unique combination of bombs and spacing, combined with some good runs as well that are usually solid vs the meta-blitzing formations. The Patriots playbook also provides virtually every good meta offense. These offenses include Trips TE, Bunch, Y Trips, and Gun Doubles. With these formations comes the possibility of running multiple offenses at a high level. The Patriots playbook has the unique aspect of combining multiple high-powered offenses. Being able to audible to multiple different formations can be pivotal to a high-scoring offense, as you can give the defense different looks to keep it on its toes. The Patriots playbook is a high-powered versatile playbook in Madden 25.
