Call of Duty continues battle with Fortnite

Squid Games is not the only cultural phenomenon to have a full 2024 resurgence. With the return of OG Fortnite, Fortnite has once again become the face of the gaming industry. When Call of Duty Black Ops 6 released, Fortnite was hardly on anyone's radar. While Call of Duty Black Ops 6 set records for the most people on a Call of Duty beta, it was also the most hours played per player, and the most matches ever played on a Call of Duty beta as well. Much of this hype came to a screening halt when OG Fortnite was released. The upcoming Collab with Call of Duty and Squid Games isa chance to change the narrative surrounding the Call of Duty vs Fortnite debate.
